Iain Goldrein QC was in November invited to address a group of Peers at the House of Lords, as to the implications for mediation of the Legal Aid, Setencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill (which is going through committee) and the Localism Bill.

After addressing them, he was then engaged in lengthy discussion- which has lead to their asking him to undertake particular research on their behalf as to both mediation, and legal aid in the context of clinical negligence litigation.

Iain Goldrein QC is an accredited commercial mediator, an advisory editor of the Hong Kong Mediation Handbook, and he conceived the initiative of a Royal College of Mediators at the Civil Mediation Council Annunal Conference in May 2011.
